Licence Policy
Draft of 7 October 2026
This policy gives the practical rules of a ReliaEn licence. The Terms of Sale and End-User Licence Agreement are the agreement. This page explains the daily use of the licence.
1. The trial
- The trial runs for 30 days, with all modules. The trial is free.
- Each computer and each company can have one trial licence. A trial licence cannot be transferred.
- If you need more time for the evaluation, write to sales@reliaen.com.
- At the end of the trial, ReliaEn opens in read-only mode. The seller charges nothing.
2. One licence for one registered computer
- One licence is for one computer. The seller issues the licence file for the machine code of that computer.
- The seller registers each licence to its computer in the licence register.
- You may not use the licence on another computer. You may not share, lend, resell or transfer the licence to another person or company.
- A virtual machine counts as a computer. Copying or cloning a licensed virtual machine is a breach.
- Several engineers can share one computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) database. Each computer that the engineers use needs its own licence.
- The licence file shows its expiry date and opens every module.
3. Hardware changes
- A change of one part of a computer needs no action while at least 2 of the 3 hardware identifiers match.
- With only one match, ReliaEn runs for 14 days. Request a transfer during these 14 days (section 4).
4. Transfers
- A transfer to another computer is possible only through ReliaEn licence support.
- Write to license@reliaen.com with the order number, the old and the new machine code and the reason. The licence request form in the documentation sends the same data.
- The seller issues a new licence file for the remaining term and updates the register within 1 business day.
- Remove the licence file from the old computer. Use of ReliaEn on the old computer after a transfer is a breach.
- One transfer in each licence year is included. The seller grants further transfers for hardware failure or replacement, with a stated reason, at the seller’s discretion.
- The seller can refuse a transfer that would share one licence between computers.
5. Renewal
- ReliaEn reminds you 30 days before the licence expires. Ask for a renewal quotation at sales@reliaen.com.
- A renewal is a new licence file for the same registered computer.
6. At expiry
- After the expiry date, ReliaEn works for 7 more days. Then ReliaEn opens in read-only mode until you install a renewed licence file.
- In read-only mode, your files open and you can read them. You cannot run analyses or make edits until the renewal.
7. Termination
- The seller may terminate a licence on a breach of section 2 or section 4 of this policy, or of the intellectual property rules in the Terms of Sale and End-User Licence Agreement.
- On termination, stop using ReliaEn and delete the licence file.
- The seller does not refund a licence that is terminated for a breach.
